I spent a wonderful Sunday strolling about
Georgetown with Tracie and Piz for the
annual garden tour. It's a fabulous event...dozens of gardens within walking distance in this quirky, funky neighborhood of Seattle. It came as no surprise that for me (nary a green thumb on either hand), the
garden art was MUCH more interesting than the actual...you know...
plants. Tracie and Piz were equally enchanted with the growing things and the outdoor decor. The coolest thing about these gardens is that, while nice, many of them are nice-within-the-reach-of-ordinary-people-with-busy-schedules.
Here then, without further ado...many, many photos this week to inspire us all to embellish our own yards:
Some people see a giant silver-leafed acorn and ask, "Why?" I see a giant silver-leafed acorn and ask, "What the heck?" Nevertheless, it's cool, isn't it?

I'm sorry our paths didn't intersect on the tour. I love the gardens, art and people that live in Georgetown!
